iPad Case
I was really excited to make a case for my iPad. This is a prototype of sorts. I knew I wanted it to be portfolio style rather than sleeve style and it was just a matter of determining how to keep the iPad in place. Inside is made of very rigid cardstock for structure and an old yoga mat for padding. The iPad is held in place with very taut elastic that doesn’t obscure any of the buttons or inputs. There’s also an improvised area for my stylus (I intend to use it as a sketchpad). This version is a little bulkier than I’d wanted (the case plus the iPad has a profile of 1”) and it doesn’t have a closure of any sort because I didn’t plan for one. Also, it’s my habit to not ever use closures, but they are cute and it would give an added element of protection to prevent things from slipping inside the portfolio-style case.
I got my fabric and notions from Cool Cottons which I’d never been to before but it’s a great store!
